Registration of interest in the placement of savings products
Subscriptions for this savings instrument [1] can be made on the physical or digital networks of any financial or payment institution registered with the Bank of Portugal and designated for this purpose by the IGCP.
How can these institutions express their interest in the placement of savings products?
They must complete and submit the form available here.
Expressions of interest will be analysed by the IGCP based on the following criteria:
- be registered with the Bank of Portugal as a financial institution or as a payment institution;
- have a valid Bank code in the IBAN at the Bank of Portugal;
- comply with the applicable regulatory framework, namely:
- marketing of remote financial services (in particular, Decree-Law no. 95/2006, of 29 May);
- payment services (in particular, Decree-Law No. 91/2018 of 12 November);
- protection of personal data in applications on smart devices (in accordance, in particular, with Regulation No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April and Opinion No. 2/2013 of 27 February of the Article 29 Working Party on applications on smart devices).
Institutions that meet the requirements indicated must, after analysing the commercial terms and conditions made available by the IGCP, submit a proposal with the conditions of placement. The IGCP will promptly initiate discussions with these entities, giving preference to proposals that present the most favourable commercial conditions.
