The Treasury set up its own collection network supported by the Documento Único – DUC, a dematerialised single document, and by a computer system which controls the debt collections, as well as deposits and funds that enter the State’s Treasury on a daily basis, the SCE – Sistema de Cobranças do Estado, which is directly linked to the systems of the bodies that manage the revenue.

The use of the dematerialised DUC makes it possible to collect the revenues of any entity through the State’s Collection Network: Multibanco (ATM), Credit Institutions, Local Tax Collection and Customs Services, Postal Services (CTT), etc.

This system ensures the efficient control of the amounts of the documents against the money received and enables the entities managing the revenues to update the current accounts of the taxpayers/debtors in a timely manner.
